During Week 3 we focused on the Experimenter. Experimenters are known for “thinking with their hands.” They move quickly from talking about ideas to making those ideas a reality. They use rapid prototyping strategies (even low-fidelity prototypes) to communicate proof-of-concepts. Failure is embraced as part of the innovation process.

Design considerations are based around three main constraints (from Tim Brown’s Change by Design):

  • Feasibility (what’s possible)
  • Viability (what’s sustainable)
  • Desirability (what makes the most sense)
